Who does an Applications Developer report to? An Applications Developer usually reports to a Project Manager or a Director of Applications Development.

What does an Applications Developer do? An Applications Developer falls into one of three categories: A Front-end Developer, a Back-end Developer, and a Database Developer.? An Application Developer uses various programming languages to create maintain, or implement (or some combination of these) the source code for an application.? An Applications Developer may also test an application.? They might work alone or in teams. This role will often require a Bachelor’s degree and experience coding.? Some employers will value experience over a degree.? Other employers may not require a degree at all or take an Associates or certificate.? Some higher positions will require a Master’s degree in addition to coding experience.
