What does a Database Administrator do? Depending on the employer, A Database Administrator reports to the Database Manager, IT Manager, or the VP of Information Technology.

Who does a Database Administrator report to? A Database Administrator is responsible for the design, maintenance, implementation, and security of a company’s database(s).? The Database administrator also creates and carries out training, policies, and procedures for management, use and the security of the database(s).? Database Administrator roles usually require the ability to write SQL queries and to extract data from a database.? Applicants must have a Bachelor’s of Computer Science or a related area.? They’ll also need experience or training in SAP, Structured Query Language, or different Oracle-based database software.?? Database Administrator roles requires the ability to stay up to date with relevant software and design solutions for database management.
