Network Engineer

Who does a Network Engineer report to? Network Engineering roles often report to a Manager of Networks or the Director or VP of Information Technology.

What does a Network Engineer do? A Network Engineer will establish and maintain network performance.? They’ll also be involved in the design of a network environment and its security provisions (including firewalls). They may achieve this through some combination of troubleshooting, creating and enforcing network use policies, defining and documenting systems standards, and building net configurations and connections.? Network Engineering roles usually require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.? Some employers will also require an MBA in Information Systems.? Nearly all roles will require some experience in the field.
